MIXO-LOGIC IN PARIS

Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert was in Paris to make cocktails at Veillees FoodStock '08 Festival.

Food was provided by celebrated chef Trish Deseine who is originally from Belfast.

Music was provided by Peter Von Poehl,Revlover and Daddy&Me(feat. Rosemary de Moriarty)

The night was a great success with a second date planned for the 23rd of Oct.

Look forward to seeing some of you there!!!!!!

Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert will make a guest appearence in next week's episode of TV3's The Apprentice. The winners of the task will have a cocktail masterclass with Paul. So check out TV3 next Monday(6th) night at 9pm to see how he and the challengers got on................

CIRQUE DE CABARET


Mixo-logic provided the cocktails at the recent Cirque de Caberet night held in the Button Factory on Saturday 27th Sept. The next show I believe is on Nov 1st in the Button Factory and we shall be there again!!!!!

MIXO-LOGIC & NOBU

Mixo-logic made cocktails at the NOBU BALL held in the Four Seasons, Dublin last Sat(20th). NOBU Restaurant flew over a team of 50 chefs and waiting staff for the event and NOBU provided canapes and dinner at the event, while Paul from Mixo-logic created cocktails to match the canapes for the pre dinner drink reception.

The event was held in aid of OUTREACH MOLDOVA.

COCKTAIL MASTERCLASS


Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert gave a masterclass in using Joseph Cartron Liquers to Dublin bartenders yesterday. The class took place in the Morgan Hotel and was attended by some of Dublin's up and coming bartenders.


After a brief discussion on how the liquers are produced, Paul showed them how to use common flavours like Triple Sec and then moved on to the more unusual flavours like Parfait Amour.


They also got to taste Ruby Grapefruit liquer for the first time. This is not available in Ireland yet but judging by the response from the bartenders yestarday, it better arrive soon!!!!

FREE SPIRIT COCKTAIL COMPETITION

Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert was a taste judge at the 1st Free Spirit cocktail competition held in Morrisson's Bar, Belfast. This comp was the brain child of Hayden Lambert from the Merchant Hotel and is free from sponsorship so the bartenders can do whatever they like and use whatever they want.

The winning recipe came from Ladislav(sorry if spelling is wrong dude!) who works at the Merchant Hotel and produced a drink using, golden rum,Grand Marnier, sweet vermouth, Amer Picon, lemon juice, grenadine and topped with Moet et Chandon champagne.

Ladislav now goes to London to represent Ireland in the Grand Final at the Boutique Bar Show.

Watch this space as Paul hopes to bring FREE SPIRIT to Dublin.............

Bellini's Bar at the Burlington

Mixo-logic staff were on hand to make cocktails and show some flairtending at the offical launch party for Bellini's Bar at the Burlington Hotel, Dublin. With flair provided by some of Ireland's top talent, namely Aaron & Shoki, and music by the Cuban All Stars it was a great night.

COCKTAIL MASTER CLASS

On Aug 21st Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert gave a cocktail master class to the residents in the Radisson Hotel at Farnham Estate, Cavan. Having developed a range of cocktails that have healthy ingredients in them for the hotel, Paul was on hand to demonstrate how to make these recipes and talk about the ideas behind them. MIXING IT UP IN SABA


Just last Monday,28th July, Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert hosted a cockail tasting night in SABA, Clarendon Street, Dublin 2.
In association with Bombay Sapphire and Bacardi, guests were treated to cocktails on arrival, then a cocktail with each course.
During the meal, Ian McLaren from Bacardi Brown Forman UK and Hayden Lambert from the Merchant Hotel in Belfast presented the cocktails being tasted and explained why they were served with each course.

It was a roaring success and we look forward to the next night which rumour has it will be in a couple of months!!!!!

M&S Restaurant Opening

Mixo-logic provided drinks on the opening night of Marks and Spencers new restaurant at the top of the Grafton Street Store. It is a beautiful room and we highly reccommend you try it out.

TASTE OF CORK




Mixo-logic staff were shaking things up at Taste of Cork last weekend(27-29th June). We had staff in the Bacardi,Finlandia,Hennessy bars,the cocktail academy and the VIP bar. The whole event was a great success with thousands of cockktails being made including Royal Flush which is a new drink with Finlandia Grapefruit Vodka, new to the Irish Market.

42Below National Final

After an amazing day on the roof of the Morgan Hotel the 3 bartenders who will represent Ireland in Queenstown in September are:-

Bob Murphy, Saba
Darren Geraghty, Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley
Csaba, Dipe Le Shaker

In a closley fought competition which almost brought the roof down(anyone who was there knows what I mean!!)the guy's own creations and the imagination they used with the ingredients in their mystery bags came through for them in the end. Judges Richie Hunt,Mahiki,London Steven Macallister(from RTE's The restaurant) and Leanne Davidson,Townhouse,London were very impressed with the standard of drinks on the day.

Big up to the guys and best of luck in queenstown!!!!

Mixo in paris!!!




Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert was making cocktails in Paris on the 12th of June for the MK2 Movie awards. The awards which were sponsored by Jameson were for the young up and coming actors/actresses in France and with 1000 people turning up it was a very successful night.

Mixo-logic in London


Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert was in Shoreditch House,London recently for the launch of the Jameson Premiums Range. Paul made a selection of pre-dinner cocktails with Jameson including Pulp Fiction,Whiskey Sour and Irish Manhattan and then create a selection of after dinner cocktail using Jameson Gold which included Chocolate Old Fashioned. All media in attendence seemed to enjoy the night and were pleasantly suprised at the combinations on offer.

42Below World Cup 2008

The qualifying round for the 42Below World Cup takes place on Mon 23rd June on the Morgan Hotel in Templebar. Yes, on not in. The competition will be held on the roof of the Morgan Hotel. Bartenders have to make a recipe of their own creation and then produce a drink using ingredients from a mystery box.

The top three bartenders will be selected to represent Ireland at the world final in Queenstown.

SAMSUNG SOUL




Mixo-logic provided cocktails at the launch party for Samsung's new phone in the Morrisson Hotel.

Award winning mixologists Paul Lambert and Darren Geraghty provided cocktails on the night while Dj's pumped out some soul music.

Marks & Spencers Opening

Mixo-logic made cocktails at the offical re-opening of the Marks&Spencers store on Grafton Street, Dublin on May 1st.

The store was offically opened by Rosanna Davison, and the guys demonstrated how to make cocktails using Marks and Spencers superb range of fresh fruit and juices.

42Below Cocktail World Cup

Mixo-logic's Paul Lambert is teaming up with Alan Kavanagh of Total Cocktail Solutions to run the National Final of the 42Below Cocktail World Cup, which will select 3 bartenders to represent Ireland at the World Final in Queenstown later this year.

Paul was the first Irish bartender to compete at the World Cup in 2006, finishing 6th and Alan represented Ireland the following year finishing a very well earned 4th in the world.

Because of their experience in Queenstown, 42Below have asked Paul and Alan to help organise and run the National Final this year.

Dates and more info will be posted when we get it.

SUMMER FESTIVALS

Mixo-logic staff will be making cocktails in the Bacardi tent at the Oxygen and Electric Picnic festivals this summer. Oxygen is on the 11th-13th of June and Electric Picnic is on the 29th-31st of August. If you are going to the festivals check out the Bacardi tent for great music and cocktails.

MARTHA STEWART SHOW

One of Paul Lambert's cocktail recipes will be made on the Martha Stewart show in the US on St Patrick's Day. Jameson will be making some cocktail recipies on the show and they have chosen Paul's recipe Ulysses as one. More details to follow........

PAUL LAMBERT ON DVD

Mixo-ogic's Paul Lambert took part in a DVD for Failte Ireland recently to help promote their courses and the bar industry. Paul, a former student of Failte Ireland (1994) talked about his experiences in the Industry and why people should consider bartending as a career. The DVD will be distributed to all secondary schools.

'It was a great honour for me to take part in this dvd, as I feel forever grateful to Failte Ireland for giving me the foundation I needed to get on in this industry and I still rely on things I learnt back then when I am giving training sessions now', said Paul.
