ROCK CHIC EXHIBITION

Mixo-logic made cocktails at the launch of the Rock Chic exibition in the National Museum last week. The exhibition is a history of the electric guitar and is running until January 21st '07. There are guitars from artists like Phil Lynot, Carlos Santana,Van Morrisson through to today's popular artists. Radio DJ Dave Fanning also designed a guitar for the exhibition. My favourite was the snakeskin guitar. Now thats rock n roll!! There is also one which is encrusted with diamonds, bling bling baby!! I recommend that you should check it out. Its free admission too!!!

FINLANDIA CUP '06

Paul Lambert won the Finlandia Cup '06 on Tuesday the 21st November held in the Westin Hotel. Paul impressed the judges with his three drinks, Orient Express(aperitif), Kitala Krush(long drink) and Cheesecake(after dinner). Paul will now travel to Finland in January to represent Ireland in the world final. Recipes will be posted on the site soon!!!

KETEL ONE DISTILLERY VISIT

Mixo-logic is just back from the Netherlands, where we, along with a dozen or so of Dublin's finest bartenders, were given a guided tour of Ketel One's new windmill,now the tallest in the world!!!Their cocktail bar is amazing. It was fantastic to get the opportunity to make drinks behind it. A big thank you to Bob Nolet and his staff for their hospitality. Also thanks to Nick and John from Brinkman Beverages for the invite!
